A Bugatti's top speed is faster than that of an F1 car. However, F1 cars are far faster accelerating and through corners
1. What car can I buy right now that sounds like a F1 car?
None you could afford that are street legal, but there are a number of motorcycles that sound similar. Formula 1 car engines are un-muffled and rev as high as 18,000 rpm which gives them that distinctive sound. Most sporty passenger cars have engine redlines in the 5500-7500 rpm range. The highest revving street-legal passenger car engines like the Ferrari 458 ($265,000), Porsche 918 ($845,000) and Lexus LFA ($375,000) that sound similar to an F1 car only hit about 9,000 rpm or so. In affordable street cars, the Honda Civic type R has the highest current redline of 8,600 rpm and the cheaper Si redlines at 8,000 rpm, but of course they are not very loud with an exhaust system that's legal. A BMW M3 also hits about 8,000 and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI has a redline of 8,250 rpm. Surprisingly, the 1997-2000 1.6 liter Toyota Corolla with the 4A-GE engine will do 8,200 rpm. The 1997-98 Honda Integra Type R redlined at a very impressive 8,800 rpm, but only 300 or so were built and they are extremely hard to find. And of course, these numbers are peak rpm. None of these road vehicles cruise at more than about 1/2 of their redline rpm at speeds exceeding any legal speed limit. You can find lists of high-revving cars on the internet. Try Wikipedia and search "redline".
2. How to make an aerodynamic F1 car?
you should try and make the front wing make air flow over the tyres because that is a speed killer (make sure you can do this first though) also taking to some new regualtions coming soon a closed cockpit could allow for air to flow better over the car and tbh an F1 car is not aerodynamic at all, they never have
3. What was the most dominant F1 car ever built?
The 1988 Marlboro McLaren Honda MP4/4 was the most dominant car in the history of Formula One. It was designed by Gordon Murray, who based the design on his lowline Brabham BT55 car of 1986, and American engineer Steve Nichols The MP4/4 took 15 wins from 16 races, 15 pole positions, and 199 points, all in a single season. *drivers* car no. 11 - Alain Prost car no. 12 - Ayrton Senna *Technical Specifications* Chassis: Carbon Fiber Monocoque Suspension (front): Unequal-length wishbones, pushrod activated Suspension (rear): Unequal-length wishbones, pushrod activated Engine: Honda RA168E 80-degree V6 1500cc turbocharged Mid-engine, longitudinally mounted Transmission: McLaren 6 speed Manual Fuel: Shell Tyres: Goodyear *Record* races - 16 wins -15 pole position - 15 fastest laps - 10 another candidate would be the 1979 Brabham BT46B - the "Fan car" it only raced once then it's design was deemed illegal. it's the only f1 car with a 100% winning record
4. What is the importance of Aerodynamics in F1 car?
Lets put it this way Without Aerodynamics Ferrari would be being lapped by Torro Rosso several times each race
5. are there any women that compete in F1 car racing?
yeah danica patrick races against men
6. what is faster,f1 car or motogp bike?
I asked this question before and was given the following answer: In 2004, Mr V Rossi lapped the Sepang circuit in qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix in the very quick time of 2:01 (dry), that's 2 mins and 1 sec. In the same year a Mr M Schumacher lapped the same circuit in the death defying time of 1 minute and 33seconds. This is a full 75% of the time a motorcycle takes. Or put another way; a F1 car can do 4 laps in the time a MotoGP cycles can do only 3. Hope that helps!
7. How the engine of F1 car is started?
First the power supply form the battery and the ignition is switched on. F1 car do not have starter motor on board, an external starter motor is used to crank the engine. The starter motor is fixed at the differential unit and cranked to get the engine started.
8. How does a F1 car go from being good one year to being crap the next?
its kinda difficult to answer. all teams look at possible ways of improving their cars, its not like they stop thinking if they win. but how such marked difference comes that is something i cant figure out. Renault was at top for two years then just woops, gone maybe financial prob or migration of technical staff leads to this, my guess is as good as yours
