Maybe it's a slow static electricity discharge from your body through the diode into the air, with your skin oils and dirt and the air itself resisting and dropping the voltage in series with the diode. What you are looking for a called C7 led replacement bulbs. These have the candelabra base. I just ordered them through Amazon. Although these bulbs will fit exactly I suspect that they will not give off very much light. They only have 3 led's inside the bulb. (about 1 watt) These Could be used for effect but really not for lighting. The neat thing about these bulbs is that they are direct 120v replacements. Which means they can be used for night lights electric candles xmas lights etc. I just ordered them to experiment a little bit
